Bathroom cleaning activity involves the cleaning of tiles and removal of any mildew, mold or soap scum that may get accumulated. This can be removed by spraying a solution of bleach and water (mixed in equal proportions) and allowing it to stand for some time. Later, the bathroom tiles can be cleaned with the help of a sponge or a scrub. Apart from mold and mildew, there is also a high tendency of soap scum to build up a layer on the bathroom tiles. This can be prevented by waxing the tiles which will make them look clean and shiny.

If you have bathroom flooring made up of mosaic tiles, it becomes more important to keep them thoroughly clean. This is because the mosaic tiles have an uneven surface which collects dirt easily. This not only makes them unhygienic but can also shorten their life. But you can keep your tiles clean by making use of some basic household items. The frequency of cleaning will depend upon the location of tiles i.e. more cleaning is required for the tiles which are exposed to most of the moisture (like kitchen and bathroom tiles).
