This low cost brand runs by Kingfisher airlines and headquartered in Mumbai, India. Kingfisher Airlines, obtain the airline in 2007 and it was known as "Simplifly Deccan". In August 2008, it was announced the airline was re-branded as Kingfisher Red and operates under Kingfisher's IATA code IT.

It began service in May 2005 and by 2008, it was India's second-largest low-cost airline in terms of market share. SpiceJet flies to 22 destinations across India and Nepal.
