St Lucia Hotels for Different Budgets

The northern part of St. Lucia, framed by the Rodney Bay, is the most popular tourist hotspot of the island. Hence, most of the St. Lucia hotels are concentrated in this region. From large all-inclusive hotels and resorts to the cozy cottages and guesthouses, St. Lucia has accommodations for different budgets. The hotels either are located along the beaches or tucked in the tropical greeneries of the island.

Large St. Lucia hotels

The large and the most famous hotels are primarily located along the northern coastline of St. Lucia. Most of the popular Caribbean hotel chains have properties here. The white sand beaches to the north of Castries, the capital of the island, are considered the best in St. Lucia. In addition to luxurious rooms and lavish suites, these hotels offer several exquisite facilities including spas, restaurants, gym and kid’s club. A large number of these hotels belong to the all-inclusive category, offering almost everything that a traveler to the island expects to enjoy in St. Lucia. Few larger properties of the island encompass hotel rooms, suites and luxurious villas. Here travelers can find an appropriate accommodation that suits their budget. However, visitors to the island often complain about lack of eco resorts. One is currently under construction, which will improve the scope of eco tourism in the region.

Small hotels in St. Lucia

The smaller hotels of the island have few rooms and offer limited facilities. Nonetheless, a large number of tourists prefer such accommodations owing to their friendly ambiance and personalized service. Moreover, they are affordable. These budget accommodations are scattered allover the island. The popular inns are located in the scenic locations on the island, often overlooking the Rodney Bay.

Affordable accommodations in St. Lucia

St. Lucia has numerous inexpensive bread and breakfast accommodations. While most of the larger and expensive accommodations have occupied the northern coastline of the island, the affordable guesthouses are primarily found on the southern part of the island. They are frequently equipped with self-catering units. Guest cottages are rarely found in St. Lucia. There are a few self-catering apartments on the island.

While the all-inclusive hotels and resorts are often blamed for depriving tourists from the real flavor of St. Lucia Hotels, these inexpensive accommodations are lauded for giving visitors the actual taste of St. Lucia. You can eat in the local restaurants, drink in the local pubs, visit the local shops and mingle with the local people.
