Marx toys, especially the toy soldiers, have been a hot favorite among the children across the globe since 1950. For a long time these toy soldiers have been the most desired and sought after toy item for the kids, particularly the boys. It was said that if the girl children had Barbie dolls then the boy children had the toy armed forces as their toy.

The manufacturer of the Marx toy soldiers was quite popular for their original-lines and trademark toys. Most of their toys were related to armed forces. You must be now wondering as to why the manufacturer primarily manufactured toy soldiers only? The reason being, the founder of this toy company, Louis Marx, was himself an ex-sergeant at the US Army before establishing this toy company..

Even though the toy soldiers have been a long hit with children in the past, the scenario today is not the same. With changing time the taste and preferences of the kids around the globe has also witness a significant change. Today with the advent of the computer games, play stations, ebox, etc. the popularity of the toy armed forces have greatly diminished. However, the manufacturer of these Marx toy soldiers has not given up the battle. They have proposed the option of featuring them at the virtual games to several videogame and software developers. Unfortunately, till date there has been no such major progress in this regards. However, things look to be quite positive in the near future.

Even though the company of the Marx toys is out of business for a long time, they are looking forward to make a comeback as a traditional collectible. Vintage toy collecting coupled with the loyalty of these toys’ enthusiasts have been the prime reason for the revival of its popularity.
