How London Hotels Can Cope with the London Olympics

There can be very few people in the world who are unaware that the 2012 Olympics are imminent and the whole of the UK is making their final preparations to welcome the best of each competing country’s athletic and sporting hopes.

The UK is also poised to welcome visiting supporters from every country and, although many have had their accommodation booked for quite some time, there are also those who have now started the hunt for the best places to stay during the 2012 Olympics.

Just as the athletes are busy working hard on their last minute preparation for the events when the eyes of the world will be upon them, the many hotels in the capital who will welcome the visiting spectators are making their own preparations for this immense opportunity.

What to Expect :

In 2011, Oxford Economics released an independent report in which they stated that they expected the total number of visitors to London for an overnight stay during the games to reach 450,000, whilst they expected a further 5.5 million day visitors. This figure has even been suggested by other organisations as being overly conservative (source: The Daily Mail)

This is a source of joy and worry for many London Hotels who, whilst being thrilled by the prospect of additional revenue, have the worry of coping with the demand for their services.

The Preparation :

In preparation, hoteliers have made a number of changes to their regular policies, including employment of additional housekeeping services staff and using the services of cleaning professionals such as ACT-Clean to both prepare for the busy period and be able to cope with the demand for hotel housekeeping services during the Olympic period.

What is Meant by Hotel Housekeeping?

The services which either the staff of a hotel or an external partner such as ACT-Clean might do are many and diverse and it could be generally said that hotel housekeeping is essentially the tasks which require completion in order to make the stay of a guest comfortable, clean, luxurious and ultimately the guest happy to return in the future.

ACT-Clean have been providing these housekeeping services to some of the best known London hotels for many years now and their list of satisfied customers reads as a who’s who of some of the London’s best known and loved hotels.

For hotels in the Capital looking to make the most of the opportunity which the Olympics presents them with, not just to welcome guests initially during the games, but also to form long-lasting relationships with these guests then additional hotel housekeeping services may be required. Contact www.act-clean.com for more information about how they can assist during the London Olympics.
