Here at this temple you will see a center dome and four corners with turrets. Legend has it that the king had ordered the death of a pious Brahmin and later built this temple to appease the spirits of the Brahmin. It would not be wrong to say that the temple resembles a Muslim dargah.

Madikeri Fort: This magnificent fort has an interesting story of its own. The Fort was previously made out of mud. However, later it was re-built by Tipu Sultan with stone. Here in the fort you will come across two mortar elephants, built life-size. This is the major attractions for tourists visiting the fort. Another amazing fact about the fort is that as you go inside you will find a gothic-style church built during the British rule. Your Holiday in Coorg will be in vain without visiting this fort.
